you know the website i'm talking about the u.s registered support animal the emotional support animal you know these people who go into walmart and target with their chihuahuas and their dogs and you know they think that they have a support dog because they went on a website paid a 60 fee and got a card in the mail that looks a little something like this that i'm holding up to the camera and and they get this vest here this red vest that here says support dog and they think that that makes their dog a service animal a few about a year ago i made a video about this uh talking about making storm a an emotional support animal um four reasons that we couldn't get into the apartment we were gonna move into without doing that so i made a video and a lot of people got really upset about that video because they didn't watch it they looked at the title uh and they didn't actually look at what i was saying in the video so i went ahead and deleted that video and i'm gonna remake it now in that video i said you know i think that it's wrong that these apartment buildings see some some apartment complexes some living quarters restrict animal breeds because of you know the type of breed the dog is and you can go ahead and get an emotional support letter from a doctor and that voids that out right but that doesn't mean go on a website pay a fee and get this fake card that doesn't mean you can now go into walmart or target or any of these places and bring your dog in there like you see people do all the time and it definitely does not mean you can fly with your dog this is absolutely 100 percent false these u.s registered support animals are phony fake sites that do absolutely nothing um you know it says acaa compliant f-a-f-h-a compliant medical compliant this is all fake this is fake uh you will not be allowed on an airplane just because you show this card united states federal law access can't be denied that is not a federal law it is not a service animal there's a big difference between an emotional support animal and a service animal now to make your dog an act to be able to get into these apartments uh you have to go see a doctor you have to get a letter you have to go back your dog has to be trained you have to pass a course there's all types of things and then to make your dog a service dog they are it's really really difficult and you know generally it's labs and certain types of dogs not really pit bulls and and you know chihuahuas and whatever else so these sites so i was wrong i was wrong because i fell into it i went and bought the card you know and i'm thinking i'll just you know flash this card around and be able to get in any apartment be able to take my dog in an airplane i was wrong about that so i'll admit i was wrong i didn't do the research enough uh and people in the comments have got really upset about it some i lost some subscribers for it and you know i was led to believe by someone who i was with at the time that you know it worked and we kind of argued about that a lot because she's like oh we can bring the dog and let's bring the dog i'm like we can't bring the dog into a store you're this is fake this doesn't exist i like i get your family did it with their dog but they what they're not understanding is that this is fake this is not an existing thing this does not it's not a federal law it's actually against the law so there is no such thing really as a as a support animal i mean to an extent yes you can bring you can get your dog void it from the restricted breed process of apartment buildings but that's about as far as it's going to go that's about as far as it's going to go ever you're not going to be allowed to bring your dog in an airplane it literally is clear cut and dry unless it's a service dog and you have a service dog license you will not be allowed to fly are you allowed to fly on an airplane with an emotional support animal according to wall street journal emotional support animals are banned on airplanes but service dogs can still fly free so there you have it uh you know they're banned they're banned on airplanes you're not gonna be allowed to bring your dog on an airplane right mama come here so here's storm oh she's up up up storm is my three-year-old american bully hi babies um you know she's a good dog she doesn't she doesn't need to be restricted she's not going to be a restricted breed you know now i had to go to a doctor i had to get a letter i had to do all these things to get her to be able to bring her into the apartment which restricts this breed now my doctor diagnosed me with ptsd and a severe case of depression at the time now i have to go back i have to do this like every three months because he's a good doctor he's not gonna lose his license because you know i want my dog and you know so um you have to have some legitimate reasons here you you know so um hi babies luckily for me not you it's not luckily because it was a painful thing that i went through and i still struggle with it so it's you know for me i actually did need her i needed the dog to be with me at that time when i you know lost at pretty much everything you know i went through a really really bad breakup a domestic abuse uh you know i had a move across the country i lost and left everything i ever loved and known behind to come out here now i ended up by myself so it was a very traumatic event and it really jacked me up pretty good and if it wasn't for this dog i don't know what i would do but that doesn't mean i'm going to go bring her to walmart it doesn't mean i'm going to be able to walk my dog into target and this card is absolutely useless this is useless so if you have this and you're going to go onto those websites and you're gonna pay the fee and you think that you're you know you have an emotional support dog you're wrong it is a hundred percent wrong it is not a service animal there is a difference now i do know there are emotional support animals but like i said you have to go through a doctor you have to get a letter like i did you have to go through this process it takes a little while you have to get diagnosed with something all right so uh you know there's there's all these things and you know so people have anxiety levels and i understand anybody can go to a doctor and get and say i'm depressed give me this letter people do that and they take advantage and that was the point of the first video is not to take advantage of this this situation this emotional support animal should be for one thing and one thing only to be able to live with your dog that had these these apartment buildings allow animals but they don't allow certain animals and that's wrong that's not right and i and the loophole there is the emotional support animal but the caveat here is you have to prove that you ha you need the the support of your animal and what happens is the point of the video is people were take are taking advantage of that situation now why did i bring my dog into walmart that day why did i do that i did that to show how uneducated the employees of this building were they didn't know i just said hey i have an emotional su

hi everyone welcome back to her Kiba cavaliers channel i'm here today with turkey and milton and we wanted to talk about emotional support animals or for short e-s-a and the reason why I'm doing yet another video on ESA is because there's so many common questions that come back all the time but if you haven't seen our previous videos regarding ESA I will link it all here I've made a playlist so it's easier for you to go through all those videos so basically a herkie oh and by the way before we start if you like this t-shirt it's our cabin pocket t-shirt so one of our best selling t-shirts yet on the boutique and if you want to check it out it's Kavala g calm and i will link a link in the description box below for you to check it out so let's get started just so you're aware of our situation herky and milton our emotional support animals and live in a condo building that is pet friendly so our emotional support animal letter does not involve housing it only involves travels the reason why they're esa for me for flying is kind of a personal reason i don't do well with flying and traveling in general and that's why i require them to fly it with me yes they are big enough to fit in a carrier and we could do that but this is just a personal reason for me to want them as emotional support animals and travel right with me on my lap and not in a carrier okay so one thing you should know about emotional support animals is that it's not widely spread in all countries it's most common in the US and in Canada in the u.s. it can be applied for housing and for travel but in Canada it's usually more for travels so we always fly with her Ken Melton with Air Canada and they accept emotional support animals in Canada so you should always check with your country to see if this is something even eligible I know the u.s. it is eligible so if you are looking to not be denied travel with your pet or not being denied accommodation because you have a pet then you are in your rights if you have a disability so the most common question we get is where to get your dogs registered and I would repeat it again and again those websites that you see online that tell you to register your as emotional support our skin you do not need to register your dog to be an emotional support animal all you need is a letter from a registered therapist a physician a mental health specialist anybody that has the credentials to write that letter for you that letter will suffice so you don't need any website to register you don't need even the vest that says emotional support anymore you don't need anything that says emotional support on it all you need is a letter from a physician I got my letter personally from my family doctor and that's because I feel comfortable with my family doctor for her to prescribe me that letter and to follow up with me on a regular basis if you don't have access to a doctor I did find this amazing clinic that offers consultations online and I will link it down below for you but it's my ESA doctor com they are registered a therapist and they do online consultations you will not be able to get a letter without a consultation so that is how you will be able to get yours is by consulting with a therapist and this website you basically sign up and you will be able to get a virtual consultation with the therapist and then get your letter if you are eligible for one so there's no such thing as a pre-approval you really do need to get a real consultation with a therapist before you get your letter now I'm talking about the US but with that letter you would be able to find some housing that don't otherwise let you stay with your pet but all this given that you do have a disability and you do have a need for your pet and this is all up to the therapist to determine whether you do or not with that letter you can also fly with them you can also take the train or whatever the next common comment that we get all the time is that my dogs are not trained to be service dogs and know if they are not service dogs because service dogs and emotional support animals are two completely different things service dogs are trained to detect something and to and they're trained to practice and to do a certain task for you for example if you have a physical disability they are trained to lead you somewhere if you have a medical condition that can alert you of that good condition for example strokes or diabetes these dogs can detect that and will alert you they are trained to perform a certain task in that situation emotional support animals don't have to be trained they just have to be like well-behaved in general but they they don't have to be trained to do a certain thing because they are just there for me for emotional support they're not there to provide a service so again to all those people that leave like negative comments saying that my dogs are misbehaved or that I don't need these dogs like please leave those comments to yourself because you don't know me personally you don't know what my dogs are like and it's very easy to judge behind the screen but this is something very personal that I'm dealing with and this is something that I need and please if you don't know me personally that don't judge just to recap you do not need to register your pet as an emotional support you just need a letter from a physician so I would recommend either going to your family doctor your registered therapist or if you don't have one that I'm going to refer you to this online clinic that I found it's my ESA doctor calm I will link the link in the description box below for you and also leave it here but basically this gives you access to a physician and a therapist if you don't have access to one and they can evaluate your needs for DSA so thank you so much for watching if you have any questions leave them down below and I will do my best to answer everything I can again I cannot give you an opinion on whether or not you would be eligible to get a TSA only a therapist would so although I do appreciate all the comments and feedback I can't tell you if you are eligible or not so my best bet would be to consult with a therapist so thank you so much for watching guys I really appreciate it if you're new to your channel welcome don't forget to subscribe thumbs up this video and bring that notification bell we love you so much and we'll see you soon bye you

Thanks Mason your participation is very much appreciated
