good morning everyone welcome back to another on would think a pet projects today we're going to work on a basic move over so let's get started once you have signed into your account click on create a new design today we're going to call our project moon rover ok now once done let's work on the base of our moon rover we're going to bring our box shape change the dimensions Conner dot sixty leg 54 with okay height five all right once done bring out another box change the dimensions as follows the leg sorry the side facing you five the other side fifty height thirty okay then we're going to arrange these two shapes together so just using your arrow keys or if you're using iPad your finger move them together as such okay once done let's select all the shapes and group them okay and we're gonna change the color to agree all right this is the base of our moon rover now let's move on to the seats bring out another box shape okay for this we're just gonna change the height click the top right dot change to five okay and then we're gonna zoom in a bit alright I am going to duplicate this shape so click on duplicate alright my duplicated shape is already here I'm going to click the double rotation arrow turn it by sixty seven point five degrees okay as shown once done all right click and drag the black hole raise up to zero and use your arrow keys to move this to join the other box as shown okay once done you need to sell out all your ships again do a group change the color you can choose any color you want I'm going to use white for this once you're done race it up by five okay and then using your arrow keys or your finger on iPad move your seat to your moon rover okay now we're gonna duplicate this and we are also going to create another copy at the other side you will need to turn your view cube to have a good view okay if you want your seats to be different colored sure go ahead okay I'm gonna change one on my seat to black if you don't want that's fine you don't have to do this okay now once done I'm going to start working on the hand controller so I'm gonna bring our cylinder change your dimension as shown okay I'm gonna make this a very narrow XO for the hand controller so this would be three by three okay height I'm going to leave it at 20 I'm gonna change the color gonna make it the same gray as my moon rover okay once done I'm gonna bring out another cylinder this is going to be our sort of steering wheel change the dimensions ten by ten all right change the height to three we're gonna make this a lot shorter okay then change the color up to you which color you want but I'm going to use black okay let me just zoom in a bit here all right we are going to raise up this view to the height of the cylinder so that means raise up by twenty okay once done let's select both shapes carefully just these two shapes select a line middle dot in front middle dot other side okay now once done let's group them together all right don't forget to take multicolored so you preserve both different colors okay now using the double-headed arrow I'm going to rotate this by minus 45 degrees as such okay once done using your arrow keys or your finger just gently move the hand controller in between your seats okay nice alright now we're going to move on to a bit of the tricky part now we're going to move on to the board that contains our camera as well as our antenna so to start let's bring our another box shape to the center of the workplane change the dimensions we're going to leave the site as 20 we're gonna change the longer side to 30 okay change the height to five all right you can change the color of this as well I'm gonna use a darker gray up to you which color you want okay now I'm going to bring up a cylinder gonna change the dimensions as shown gonna make this a lot thinner so tool by tool okay hi I'm gonna leave it at 20 I'm gonna change the color to black alright once again up to you which color you want to choose I'm going to just use my arrow keys to move this to my base rectangle here okay then I'm gonna duplicate this and create another copy of the shape here okay it's up to you how you want to position it I like my shapes in the center so I'm gonna make it like that alright okay now once done we're gonna start working on the camera so for this we're gonna bring our box shape this is going to be small so you will have to zoom in alright okay on my box shape for the camera I'm gonna change the dimensions ten at the side facing me and five for this side at the other side okay ten by five height I'm going to change to five as well okay change the color to white up to you which color you want to choose okay now for the nose of the camera or the lens I'm going to bring up another cylinder change the dimensions three by three okay change the height to three there's going to be a lot shorter because we don't need such a long lens okay I'm gonna change the color of this to black all right let me just zoom in a bit so you can have a closer look okay now I'm going to rotate this cylinder so click the double-headed arrow facing you this is a bit tricky just be careful okay we're gonna change it to oops be careful when you do this okay change it to 90 degrees so that is done sideways as such all right then just using before you move it to your box let's raise it up by one okay then we move it to the box so once you move it here you will rest nicely in the middle okay you will need to turn a bit to check alright good now once done we are going to group these two shapes all right don't forget to tick multicolor okay then we're gonna raise them up by the height of the black cylinder so this is 20 okay now I'm using your arrow keys or your finger just move it gently to rest on top one of your cylinders okay change your perspective to check whether is put nicely in place okay now I'm gonna do here is I'm gonna copy the second black cylinder so duplicate okay I'm gonna move this to the side and leave this here for the time being okay I'm gonna work on the antenna now so for this I'm going to pull out a pair of beloit okay we're going to mirror okay click the vertical arrow alright we're gonna flip it this way I'm just gonna change the height so click the top white dot change to 15 we're gonna make it a lot shorter okay now once done I'm going to duplicate this shape okay pull out my duplicated shape to the side here okay I'm gonna make this duplicate a shape a hole alright and then I'm gonna make it a bit smaller so change the height to 13 okay change the sides to 18 by 18 alright now I'm going to raise this up by the remaining height of two okay then I'm going to select these two parable lights and I'm going to align them middle dot in front middle dot other side once done group okay once you have done this you should be able to see a hole cut out from your parabola okay now we're gonna combine the cylinder and the parabola shape so we're gonna select both these two shapes do an align again middle dot in front middle dot other side okay once done let's group these two shapes together don't forget to check if you have ticked multicolor okay all right so now we size it up to 250 millimeters there we go and next thing we're going to do is make it gray so click on the ball click on solid switch to gray and that's it for the first step so we're going to make some craters now so to do that we need to select a cone i'm going to zoom in and it says to scale down my cone a half so down to 10 millimeters next it says to create a box and put it next to the cone okay you have to make sure that the uh the cone is aligned up with the square or the cube okay once it is lined up you can click the align tool again that's the reflection tool and then you're going to click on the middle one here the center there we go and that brings it inside the box the next thing it says is to take your box and lift it up two-thirds of the way so basically what we're doing is we're cutting off the top part of the cone so i want to get rid of this align thing so i'll just click to the side and then i'll drag up this like this okay now i'm going to go ahead and i'm going to group the two together so i've got a highlight and group and there we go okay now it cuts off the top part of my cone the next thing it says to do is to take a sphere and bring it onto the work plane now the next thing when it's referring to the z-axis is talking about the y or about the height so it says to scale it down to 13 millimeters next thing we're going to do is we're going to drag the sphere on top of the cone just so it's slightly bigger than the cone itself okay there we go and i aligned it too so it's in the center so the next thing we're going to do is position the craters on top of the sphere so here goes nothing okay here we are so we have our sphere and we have our little uh craters so we're going to go up to the work plane up here we're going to drag this to the sphere now we're going to take this and we're going to and it's important for you to if you haven't done so already make this into a hole okay all right so i'm going to copy this and i'm going to zoom out i'm just going to pop this onto okay once the work plane is selected on top of the top of the crater on top of the moon you can just pop the crater that you copy and pasted onto the moon so now we're just going to move the work plane around the sphere and just paste these little craters okay and i'm just going around so i'm just kind of pausing the video and selecting the work plane and popping it on top of the of the work of the sphere just trying to find a whole bunch of different spaces here wherever i can find an empty spot and just throwing that um throwing that work plane on there sometimes it does that just gotta click off to the side and select a new spot there we go well there's a whole bunch of empty spots down here so i'll do the same thing so i encourage you to try the same thing i'll pause the video and you can do that okay so now i have a whole bunch of these little uh things of craters on top of the top of my sphere just going to delete these extra ones here and i'm going to move on to the next step okay so we're just doing the finishing touches on the last part of our uh our crater here okay for the final touches it says to make a second sphere and i'm not entire entirely sure why um so i'm not going to do that but uh i am going to do this it says to group it everything oh come on so it says the group everything so that's what i'm going to do i'm just going to group everything really quickly so i highlight click group and let the magic tinkercad work it's magic and there we go there's our sphere or i should say our moon it's definitely not perfect as i'm not sure what happened with some of these gaps here but it's done great thanks for tuning in and that's how you make a moon with craters from tinkercad
