hello everyone welcome to the smart approach again in this video we are going to convert our impeller depth we created in our last video into into a 3d printable file so basically we are going to export our model into an STL file so let's start we're going to go to file and we're going to upload our model that we created in our last video and then hit open and I believe this is this file here three impeller three open it as you remember we created this very simple impeller in our last video and today we are going to export this model into an STL file in other words it's going to be a 3d printable file which we will be able to upload into our 3d printer to get our 3d printed models from this from this design so let's start here now what we will do is actually we have to close it again and first we will go to start and we're going to go to our machining and STL rapid prototyping okay and now we are going to click file open our 3d impeller 3 open there you go this is our model and now we are going to first thing we are going to do is as you can see here we have a few different options that we did not have in our part design window we have these are the options that we use to convert our file especially this option we used to convert do we used to produce the meshes actually we have to produce mesh on this part so let's do this we will select a part first and then we'll hit the tessellation here so we're going to put desolations solutions and now this parameters are going to stack stack is going to be 0.01 mm and we are going to click apply ok and then we are going to click OK they go this are we have produced some meshes on our part and you can see this desolation have appeared in our design tree basically what we have done here is we have created we have converted our surface of this part in this model into the triangles basically we have created a small triangular surface on this part and that triangular surface so that our 3d 3d printer can read the surface can process the surface and create a create our design a create a part out of this model so now we have to right-click the part and then we have the local update click the local update and now we can click the tessellations in the design tree and we can click this export STL export and now we can choose our folder where we want to save it and I will save it by the name of impeller 10 dot maker bought the reason I have the reason I have mentioned dart maker part is because my 3d printer only accepts dart make up part the file extension and that has a dot MakerBot at the end and since my 3d printer name is maker part so maybe that's the reason it only can only read the files an extension that says at the end art makeup art so makeup art is basically the brand of my 3d printer that I'll be using to do print this apart or to produce this model let's save and okay there you go we have exported this model into into an STL file and now we can take the file uploading in a u.s. take that further than a USB and upload it into our 3d printer thank you very much for watching and don't forget to subscribe my channel have a wonderful day

what I want to share today is to how you can export an STL file with a different quality of the shape so the first time it's here they say you can go to tools options in use and you can use different display performance of the surfaces they say here now I have 0 0 1 I mean these the quality is very good but if I'll go to receive one you'll see the quality is not so so good so if we keep like this so you can see in the rendering is not looking very well so now when you want to go and save this shape to to an STL file so let's put here you want to see the shape exported you can go to your product and import this new exported STL file and here you can see the shape how is looking so the triangles are very big so when you want to print something on the 3d printer you will see a very bad quality of the surface one more way to do the same thing is to go here in your katya modules so you can go to machining and STI rapid prototyping and here this module you can change again the quality of the surface here it doesn't matter what you selected in the options so what you can do is go here in desolation select the surface that you want to change the destination and change the search to something smaller until this is zero zero play apply and ok you can see here the tessellation and also you can see in the part design I mean this model you can see if were to the rendering start so you can go to the wireframe you can see here the the triangles are much much more so the quality at the end it will be it will be very very good so you can export also this one go to file save last and pick again st this year so this way this iteration 0 0 so now when you get here and import this product is part you will see the quality it's very good so this is the one the two ways that you can change the quality of your exported they still facing bukata thank you for watching and don't forget to subscribe
