okay welcome to day two of learning circuitry on Tinkercad so log in to Tinkercad comm and we are going to go back to learn so click on learn we're not doing 3d anymore we're now down at circuits these are the two you did yesterday and then today you're going to do these two so again start with wiring components and then move over to adding components there's a couple things I want to show you about adding components and then I want to explain your homework so there's a couple things one thing I want to show you is that you can search for stuff so in this particular lesson you have to find a photoresistor so I just typed in photo and there it is so I can take that drag drop isn't that nice and if I hit the R key on my keyboard it rotates it only goes one direction so you know you can hold it down and do whatever you want once you get it to the way you like it you can drag it around and now we're gonna add some wires so if I take this wire and I put it here another quick pro tip is if while the wire is highlighted just like this if I hit the number two it turns red that's just the number two on my keyboard so if I click here I 1 is black 2 is red 3 is orange and then look at all these fun colors you can get oh my gosh but I want red so every number on the keyboard associates with another color 4 wire that will be helpful later on and another thing that you're going to have to do is you're gonna have to get rid of this battery so I highlight the battery I hit delete it leaves along with the wire is associated with it and I type in battery now here's the problem if you click on 9v battery nothing comes up the reason why is because it's 9v space battery so there's a quick thing that I found or you can just type in battery hit enter and it gives you all three battery options so we take this 9-volt we put it in I rotate it there we go I move it to where I like it okay and um and these are backwards well that that's not terribly click the red to the red I click the black to the black and again hitting the number one that'll change that to black there you go isn't that nice now I want to show you also about if I start the simulation it's not super obvious how to muck with this thing this is a photoresistor which means it changes resistance in the presence of light so if I click on this I can start with it being dark and you'll notice that this gear right here this motor turns six rotations per minute and as I move this slider over itby goes from a dark room to a bright room and now it goes 1973 rotations per minute the year my sister was born don't tell her I told you she's still 28 years old in her mind so your homework is going to be find out how many coin cell batteries it takes so that at the darkest setting it is six rotations per minute and then find out how many 1.5 volt batteries it takes these guys the cool thing about these is you can put them in packs so maybe it's four or maybe it's three or maybe it's two gonna have to figure it out but you're gonna have to figure out how many coin cell batteries it takes so that when you start the simulation the darkest setting is six rotations per minute and how many 1.5 volt batteries it takes so that when you start the simulation the darkest setting is six rotations per minute so how many of these and you remove all of them and find out how many 1.5 batteries just to get the same bang as a single 9-volt battery that is your homework feel free to email me with questions and good luck

now if you try to run the simulation you will face an error message because the time action library is not supported and i will teach you how to add not just the time action library but any other library to tinkercad so that you can easily use it in simulation now this is the solution to this problem because tinkercad as you can see here only support these libraries and in order to add any other library you have to add it manually so let's go back to our code and remove this line now let's close this we need to wait for the initialization now remove the time or the include library which is the missing library here now add a space here first you need to go to your library and unzip it you will find this files the first file that we are interested in is the text file right click edit and copy the whole code now as you can see this code is commented and the code at the beginning all of this is commented so we only need this code now copy that go back here paste doing that the next thing that you need to do is go back and if there's a dot cpp file you need right click edit and as you can see it has a lot of lines we need to copy all of them copy go back here and paste it under the first one now if you found anything that's commented you need to remove it just to make sure that we can easily solve any mistakes or any errors remove this include line go back remove this include line now let's click start simulation as you can see the simulation is running that it is turning on and off but we don't see any text on the lcd display that's because we have our own connection here let's move this now start simulation and here it is that it is turning on and off the backlight is dimming and we are getting different text messages on the first line and the variable is incrementing on the second line so we are doing three tasks at the very same time and this was an explanation for how to test out your code and how to add a library even if tinkercad does not support it here we added the timed action library but what we did here you can do it with any other library just copy the text inside the dot h file and the dot cpp file remove unnecessary includes and run the simulation thanks for watching this lesson this is ashar from educational engineering team
