Some users
have noticed a few niggling compatibility issues with the 2012
release of AutoCAD for Mac, so Autodesk has been working hard to
resolve them. The resulting bug fixes are all contained in the new
Service Pack 1, and here are just a couple of reasons you should
download it.
Firstly, if you've been experiencing some issues with your mouse
pointer disappearing after closing down the drawing and not all of
your Shortcut keys have been working correctly, don't worry. This
wasn't anything you had been doing wrong, but rather a hardware
conflict with the system which has now been fixed. Other hardware
fixes include the Enter key adjacent to the Number Pad now having
the same functionality as the Return key, and a smooth operating
mouse pointer icon when swiping the trackpad to pan around the
drawing. Issues when setting up your plot page and trying to rotate
the viewport were down to a bug in the system which has also now
been sorted.
Unlike other Autodesk Service Packs, this AutoCAD for Mac one
unfortunately doesn't actually contain any new features. However,
it is a must have update to ensure you're running the best
version of AutoCAD for Mac available. Service Pack 1 for AutoCAD
for Mac 2012 is available to download
here.
