pipeline fxQube! Certified Administrator course popular with customers, resellers and render pipeline consultants

PipelineFX, makers of Qube!, the leading render farm management software for film and post-production, broadcast graphics, 3D design, game development, and digital media education around the world, today announced that over 130 customers, reseller engineers and render pipeline consultants have been certified as a "QCA" (Qube! Certified Administrator).

The Qube! Certified Administrator course teaches the necessary skills to install, configure, administer and troubleshoot a render pipeline based on Qube!. The three day, hands-on intensive QCA course has been held since 2006 in major cities around the world including London, Mumbai, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu and Vancouver. The course is taught by Troy Brooks, CEO and co-founder of PipelineFX and a noted expert in CG pipelines and rendering for feature film, visual effects, television and games.

"When we designed the QCA course and certification programme we had three goals in mind," said Brooks. "The first was to provide a jump start for customer switching render managers who likely have not run a full-featured render manager before, so dealing with a database and individual job types for different applications could be challenging. The second was to train resellers' technical resources so they can offer installation and integration assistance locally to their customers. The third goal was to certify independent pipeline consultants to allow them to help implement Qube! into their customer environments. With over 100 certified people and classes still selling out, the program has been a huge success."

"We found the training sessions to be very helpful! The presentations were clear and informative," said Phil McNagney, Assistant Professor, Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. "Just the right mix of the technical and the practical. The sessions also exposed us to Qube!'s exciting potential in other areas than just render farm management like distributing plug-ins and patches across our farm."

"The QCA class is the perfect course for any administrator, whether you're completely new to Qube! or you've been using it for years!" said Ravi Rabheru of Jigsaw Systems, a Qube! reseller in the U.K.

"Qube! Certified Administrators are valuable assets to any organization looking to improve their render pipeline and maximize their rendering resources," said Richard Lewis, VP of Sales for PipelineFX. "PipelineFX is the first render management company to provide certification training and we look forward to continuing and expanding this program."
