Autodesk have just announced that they will officially support many of their products on Macs running Boot Camp. This is great news for the many people already running their software under Boot Camp as well as for those who have been awaiting approval from Autodesk before biting the bullet.

For those that don't know, Boot Camp allows you to run Windows natively on any Intel-based Mac, effectively turning your Mac into a very good-looking PC. You will need to supply your own version of Windows but aside from that and in true Apple fashion, setup is very simple.

Once you have Boot Camp set up you just need to install your Autodesk software in the normal way. Because you are effectively running on a PC under Boot Camp both single and network licence models are supported.

Products now supported under Boot Camp are:

AutoCAD

3ds Max & 3ds Max Design

Revit Architecture

For more information on running Autodesk software under Boot Camp contact Jigsaw's CAD team at cad@jigsaw24.com or on 03332 409 204. Or take a look at our range of CAD products at Jigsaw24.
