The site is already rich with original multimedia content comprising mainly video-based tips and tricks from expert AutoCAD users, eLearning tools, and CAD information from various sources on the web. Visitors can also create personal profiles allowing them to share their own ideas and custom applications.

AutoCAD Exchange is a very comprehensive online resource for AutoCAD users and brings together a wide range of multimedia resources and content sharing tools including:

  • Tips and Tricks - AutoCAD exchange provides tips directly from the product development team for all AutoCAD-based products. These tips take the form of video-based presentations and 'ask the expert' sections where users can post their own questions for industry experts. These tips encompass both the technical and managerial aspects of the industry.
  • User Collaboration -  There is a showcase section where users can upload their work and gather feedback from their peers.
  • Online Help - The site contains a link to AutoCAD's online help application, which was previously only available from within AutoCAD itself. There is also a link to AutoCAD's discussion forums where users can seek help from their peers and discuss any issues they may have with AutoCAD.
  • Resources - There are links to a wide variety of CAD resources on the site including eLearning and Autodesk University courses . There is also a range of blogs so users can keep on top of the latest developments in the CAD world.

The launch of AutoCAD Exchange coincides with the availability of the Autodesk 2010 design software product line, including AutoCAD 2010. The latest release of AutoCAD software provides even more power and innovation to help document, communicate, explore and customise design ideas. AutoCAD 2010 introduces powerful new capabilities to help users tackle their most challenging design problems, including free-form design tools, parametric drawing, and enhanced PDF support.
