X580AADNemetschek Vectorworks is hosting a free webinar later on today that promises to explore how to make your BIM processes more collaborative: "openBIM - Real Interoperability, Practical Collaboration (Part 1 of 2)."

The webinar, at 7pm tonight, is presented by Wes Gardner, AIA Assoc. Architecture Industry Specialist at Nemetschek Vectorworks. Some of the topics Wes will be covering include:

  • Define openBIM and IFC.
  • Explain how interoperability is improved with openBIM workflows and IFC technology.
  • Explain how collaboration with design partners is improved with openBIM workflows and IFC technology.
  • Identify examples of how openBIM and IFC are used today.

New to openBIM?

openBIM is all about making companies' Building Information Modelling workflows more transparent and collaborative. This is done by taking out the need for all stakeholders in a project to be working with the same software. By using open standards like Industry Foundation Classes (IFC), Wes shows how the processes of creating, analysing and distributing models can be made easier.

Book your place on "openBIM - Real Interoperability, Practical Collaboration (Part 1 of 2)" at 7pm by registering here.

- Interested in finding out more about architectural processes? We're also running a free webinar - 'What's new in AutoCAD LT 2012' - on 7th December to explain how Autodesk's software can improve your 2D technical drawing workflow. Register here.
